Worship and RnB come together to deliver a stunning debut single, ‘Surrender’ by American singer/songwriter Ciyoni.

Released on the 1st April, ’Surrender’ from Ciyoni successfully combines RnB grooves with anointed worship whilst displaying smooth vocals that captivate and stir as she delivers a heartfelt message of complete surrender to God.

‘Surrender’ has dropped amidst high anticipation, as its producer Gareth Banton, is not only Ciyoni’s husband but also the cousin of Minister/Gospel artist Juanita Francis and MOBO award winner Volney Morgan. The single also comes with a sprinkling of magic from renowned musician, Howard Francis who has worked with the likes of Method Man and Mary J Blige.

The mother of 2 boys says this song was given to her as a call from God for her to completely surrender during her personal storm.

“I took some time to get away with a friend and whilst we were sitting, encouraging each other I heard the voice of God so clearly. He told me that I needed to surrender. I knew the word wasn’t just for me but for my friends, family, and everyone going through challenging times. We tend to hold on and when God wants us to surrender it all to him.”

Starting at the tender age of 7, Ciyoni developed her musical ability in church. She currently leads the worship team at her home church, Kingdom First Ministries in Atlanta, GA where she works in ministry with her husband.

“I’ve always been the one in the background and never really saw myself as an artist. But it’s all in Gods timing and I guess now is my time.”

Ciyoni is excited to launch her music career and says she already has a number of singles ready for a succinct follow-up.

‘Surrender’ is available on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play.
