Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
It would be completely irrational to trust in our own pitiful, limited, human understanding when we can trust in the unlimited, complete understanding of God.
Things in our lives that we worry about – cause us anxiety, fear, doubt, anger and pain, to name a few, are a result of leaning on our own understanding. Of course, as rational human beings, as God created us to be, we must have an understanding of our circumstances and the things around us, but to lean on that very limited understanding is where we go wrong.
We must trust God always.
John 15:5 (AMP) says;
I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
We need to lean on Him for help with everything in our lives, we can do nothing without Him.
