Sixteen year old, Rai-Elle, glorifies Jesus Christ on ITV’s X Factor

Let me set the scene;

Sunday night saw the first episode of the Six Chair Challenge, on this years’ X Factor competition.

Once all of the chairs were filled, X Factor judge, Sharon Osborne, unsure whether she had made the right decisions, and with added pressure from the audience, decided that three of the girls would fight for their place in a ‘sing off’ for the final two chairs.

Sixteen year old Rai-Elle Williams from South Croydon, UK, confidently sang for her place with an a cappella rendition of ‘Break Every Chain written by Will Reagen and covered by Jesus Culture.

This Sixteen year old girl, used the opportunity she was given, to sing to the Lord in the hope that she would keep her place on the X Factor show and continue on to the next stage of the competition.

We are seeing this more and more in our culture, with the likes of Stormzy, Chance the Rapper and Kanye West, to name a few artists, all using their platforms to sing, rap and speak the name of Jesus to the masses. This should be the norm!

Let us infiltrate the world with the truth of who Jesus is.

Let us all take note of the faith and boldness that this young girl has just shown on ITV; with over 6 million viewers.

Let us have faith like children.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

Let us think about the opportunities that God gives us, daily and whether we use them to glorify His name.

Let us be encouraged by this and remember that, even in the most difficult situations, when we are practically fighting for our lives and our future, He is with us.

“Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Watch Rai-Elle’s beautiful performance, here from 3.00 minutes onwards.
