Move over and let Him drive

Jeremiah 29:11 (CEB)

I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.

Imagine you are driving a car and every which way that you turn the traffic is coming towards you head on, you are getting frustrated and have no choice but to pull over and stop. This is a perfect analogy for life. When our eyes are not wholeheartedly focused on Him and we operate in our flesh, we will be constantly met by impossible situations and ultimately, danger.

We must pray that the desires of our hearts overcome the desires of our flesh. We want to please God and do right by Him but in our own strength we will fail again and again. Ask him to give you His strength and to lead you in His ways.

The truth of Jeremiah 29:11 is, that in the midst of all the rubbish life can throw at you, God will make all things good.

Romans 8:28 (NLT)

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.

Letting God take the wheel isn’t always easy, it means we must relinquish control. It is our choice and we all have the capability to choose the correct path – difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations, you would be a fool to take the easy road. He has a plan and a purpose for you and your future, move over and let Him drive.
