Proverbs 10:28 (ERV)
28 The wicked are afraid of everything, but those who live right are as brave as lions.
The NLT (New Living Translation) of this verse relates to the wicked, (those with alternative motives), hoping for things they’ll never receive, but the Godly, (righteous, with nothing hidden), will receive joy and happiness.
This is a reminder to always look at our hearts. When things happen to us that we may not have planned for, or hard times look to be ahead, we should remind ourselves of what God has already done. If it so happens that currently, things aren’t going the way you’d hoped, God has given you the best gift known to man – a life beyond this is one, rejoice in that. Forgive those who trespass against you (cause offence) and remember that God has already forgiven you.
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
